Alerts will notify you when there are issues or potential issues with either the Exinda appliance system (such as CPU utilization and memory paging) or with your traffic (such as an application performance score dropped).The alerts can either be sent by email or by SNMP traps. Use the alerts to ensure the system and your network is operating the way you need it to.

Note To email alerts, valid SMTP and email settings are required. See Configure Email. Recipients of the email alerts are configured where SMTP is configured. To send SNMP traps, valid SNMP settings are required. See Configure SNMP. |

The following alerts can be enabled:
Go to Configuration > System > Setup > Alerts.
To receive alert notifications, select the Enable checkbox for the appropriate alert.
For a description of when each alert is triggered, refer to the table below.
For CPU Utilization, Disk Usage, or NIC Collisions alerts, specify the Trigger Threshold and Clear Threshold levels that cause the notifications to be sent.
When the Trigger Threshold is reached, an alert notification is sent to the administrator. When the Clear Threshold values are reached, the notifications stop being sent.
